Molly Gorin makes interdisciplinary performance pieces that sit somewhere between dance, theater, performance art, sculpture, clowning, and therapy. She strives to create experimental but accessible work that can unite audiences in catharsis and comedy. Her work values nonsense, empathy, and the making of messes. Molly works mainly with female identified and non binary folks (sorry lads), believing that these groups are less typically lauded as funny and strong in the dance world. What an oversight. Molly considers it radical to be a ridiculous woman.

Molly graduated from Laguardia High School's dance department in 2012, and from the dance and creative writing departments at Oberlin College in 2016. She has performed with a variety of contemporary choreographers in NYC and around the US. Molly's own choreographic work has been shown at Bates Dance Festival, Center for Performance Research, Triskelion Arts, The Tank, Three's Brewing, Spoke the Hub, Alchemical Studios, Prospect Park, and Old First Reformed Church. She has also collaborated with a variety of film makers, photographers, and musicians. Her team was awarded winner of the 2016 Boundless in Brooklyn Dance Film Competition, and her solo was selected the Audience Choice at Solo Fancy presented by Spoke the Hub in 2019.
